drama in education
One of the most impactful methods by which to involve students in the exploration of important topics in life is to use drama and role-play. The manual below provides teachers with general information on what drama-in-education is, what it attempts to accomplish., its advantages and dangers, and also when and where it can best be used.
Since 2000 the Anne Frank House has worked closely with high school students from Lithuania on a drama-in-education project that involves the exploration of themes related to the Holocaust, bullying, intolerance/tolerance, marginalization, etc. This manual discusses this particular project as a special case study.
